Olympus Mobility: the engineering team behind Belgium's mobility budgets
Dinix Software has been the engineering partner of Olympus Mobility since 2023, and our founder has led its R&D team since 2022. We build the backend and integrations of a platform that more than 160,000 people in Belgium use every month for train tickets, shared cars, e-bikes and parking.

The client
Olympus Mobility is Belgium's platform for mobility budgets. Employers use it to give their people one app and one monthly invoice for more than 40 mobility services - from train tickets and shared cars to e-bikes and parking. Companies such as KPMG, EY, Nokia and Coolblue use it for their employees.
What we do
- We build and run the backend services of the customer-facing app: mobility budgets, digital ticketing and Mobility-as-a-Service in cities.
- We integrate the platform with banks and payroll providers, including KBC Business Mobility from end to end.
- We built single sign-on and reseller login for partners that offer the platform to their own customers.
- We moved the service fleet from Java 17 to Java 21, with virtual threads in the REST layer.
- Since 2026 we have also owned CI/CD, infrastructure as code with Terraform and observability across more than 40 microservices.
KBC Business Mobility
The problem
KBC, one of Belgium's largest banks, wanted to offer its business clients a mobility product under its own name: parking, train tickets and a mobility budget, sold and supported through KBC's own channels, with KBC deciding who is eligible.
What we decided
- The money moves on the monthly invoice, not per transaction. The call to KBC only records the transaction on the bank's side, so an outage at KBC never loses a payment.
- No blind retries. We never retry a payment call after an ambiguous error: it can mean the bank has already booked the payment, and a retry could charge the customer twice.
- KBC decides eligibility, the platform enforces it. When a client loses eligibility, the direct debit mandate is cancelled and the contract ends at the next renewal, with no manual follow-up.
- From fixed to variable direct debits without paperwork. Company managers signed the new SEPA mandate the next time they logged in.
The scope
The second generation of the product, built from 2023 to 2026, covered the parking integration, the move to new SEPA mandates, an invoicing overhaul, reporting to KBC, onboarding and the pilot. More than 300 tickets over two and a half years: our team's largest delivery.
The result
The first contract started in March 2023, and the number of subscribed businesses has grown every year since.
How we work together
Our engineers are part of the Olympus product team: the same Jira board, the same sprints, the same stand-ups. Every story is estimated up front, and the work is reported in monthly timesheets the client approves. The same people have worked on the platform for years, so the knowledge stays in the team.
